The Department of Labor has announced that it has reevaluated the utility of gathering electronic data under Forms 300 and 301, and in a public comment request has sought input on the employee’s privacy rights including risks posed by exposing personal employee information in a FOIA request. The comment period will remain open through September 28, 2018. Regardless of what if any amendments will occur to this rule, it will be a good time to review your company’s existing reporting processes.
