Jackie Terry Hughes, Owner
Jackie has a breadth of experience handling litigation and pre-suit claims to drafting corporate policies and product warranty terms to assisting in the investigation and defense of catastrophic events.
Her twenty-plus years of defending companies in state and federal courts from inception through trial, allows her to assist clients in protecting themselves before and after an issue arises. Jackie has also argued before the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals and North Carolina’s Court of Appeals.
She serves as contracted counsel to the risk management and insurance group of a large multinational pharmaceutical corporation where she oversees sensitive claims and litigation; drafts internal procedures and guidelines; and assists in the internal investigation of matters with potential for reputational risk, and helps mitigate corporate fleet risk.
Jackie has also conducted internal investigations into product complaints; drafts recall plans and works with companies to create compliance programs to more efficiently manage and track product concerns. She also assists clients in review and drafting of warranty terms and contract language limiting liability. She is a certified Compliance and Ethics Professional and received her CCEP in 2012.
Jackie has been named a North Carolina Super Lawyer by Law and Politics.
Stacy Kivett, North Carolina Certified Paralegal
As a North Carolina Certified Paralegal, Stacy has spent her career working with corporations on product warranty and product liability matters, including drug devices, as well as defense of individual health care providers and general litigation.
Stacy and her husband, Bill, have two boys and all are avid NC State Fans. Although her boys keep her busy, Stacy loves to read and writes for several local publications including Suburban Living Apex and Suburban Living Holly Springs
