We learned today that the Senate has returned the nomination of acting CPSC Chair Ann Marie Buerkle back to President Trump. Procedurally, it takes only one Senator to return a nomination back to the President. We do not know who from the Senate was the objector, but President Trump must now renominate Acting Chairwoman Buerkle or nominate someone else to take the helm of the CPSC. It is unclear at this point what direction the President will take. We will continue to follow up on this interesting development.
